James Artis, LPC

James Artis, MS, LPC (He/Him/His) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned a BSW at Virginia Union University and a Master of Science in Counseling Studies from Capella University. He continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University and attained a Post Masters Certification in Rehabilitative Counseling.

James’s counseling approach is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. He believes in helping the client unlock their inner strengths to support a positive outcome.

James has extensive experience in treating children, adolescents, families and military. He has trained with the American Cancer Association as a Smoke Cessation Facilitator and Child Sex Offender Treatment Provider.
