Jazzmin Bailey, MS, LAPC, NCC

Jazzmin Baily (She/Her/Hers) works with adult, children, and adolescents and has extensive experience working with trauma survivors. She uses play therapy and the expressive arts therapies with her clients to help them find expression of their experience when they do not have the words to tell their story. She believes that “in play therapy, toys are viewed as the child’s words and play as the child’s language” (Garry Landreth, 1999). Her passion is working with children overcoming and healing from trauma.
Jazzmin is licensed in the state of Georgia as an Associate Professional Counselor and is also a National Certified Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Georgia State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from University of North Georgia in psychology with a minor in human services delivery and administration. During her undergraduate studies, Jazzmin studied abroad in Goa, India working with human trafficking survivors, volunteered with a sexual assault crisis center and interned at a counseling center working with substance abuse clients. Her graduate internship was spent working with women and children who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at LiveSafe Resources in Marietta.
Jazzmin allows her clients to lead the session as she believes important topics will surface naturally. Her background working with clients experiencing trauma influences her use of child-centered play therapy with kids and person-centered and existential techniques with adult clients.
Jazzmin is currently working toward LPC licensure in the state of Georgia under the supervision of Terri Abraham.
