Whitney Melancon, MA, NCC

Whitney Melancon (She/Her/Hers) is a Nationally Certified Counselor who is passionate about helping those in pain, and committed to working with them to find peace, joy, and meaning in their lives.
Her experience includes working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, gender dysmorphia, personality disorders, anger management, trauma, PTSD, and life transitions. She specializes in working with adolescents who are struggling with self worth, body image, and depression. She utilizes a holistic approach to counseling to meet her clients where they are while incorporating a goal-oriented approach that utilizes an individual's positive traits and behaviors to achieve healing. She is committed to ensuring the client feels safe and comfortable in session.
Whitney received her Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida. Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, she was a marketing professional for 16 years in the entertainment, tech, and non-profit sectors. During this career she was most passionate about the initiatives she had the opportunity to build for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Whitney understands what it feels like to live in pain and is deeply committed to helping others find peace and joy to live their most fulfilling life.
